| About us | Asian food industries limited(afi)is the manufacturer of 'mayfair' brand confectionery products from pakistan. The company has been marketing its premier quality sugar confectionery products in the domestic and export market for more than thirty years. Setup in 1969, afi was located in karachi, commercial hub&port city of pakistan. With the diversification into textile business, it was decided to consolidate mayfair group's plant locations. The production facility of afi was relocated to raiwind industrial area. Raiwind a satellite town 30 kilometres from lahore, also houses mayfair spinning mills limited. Mayfair group takes pride in both its businesses; mayfair spinning produces 100% cotton yarn of premium quality for the export market. Our team Asian food industries takes pride in its professional team administering work with the aid of the latest management and communication systems. The afi team is 550 strong, highly motivated and dynamic professionals. Products Asian food industry's foray into sugar confectionery was with the manufacture of candies and toffees. We now produce a wide range of sugar confectionery products using various packaging materials including metallised plastic wrapping, bags, pouches, plastic-jars and boxes. We also produce our products in stick packing(tube)in different sizes. The company has an independent qms control and assurance team. With untiring&dedicated efforts the company has attained the haccp certification during the year 2003. Afi has also upgraded its iso9000 certificate during 2003. Both these certifications reflect upon the emphasis afi places on having in place a stringent&rigorous system of quality management at afi. In this pursuit of excellence, the company is in the process of qualifying for iso14000 certification. Haccp certification Asian food industries member of mayfair group of companies assessed by moody international in respect of food safety management system was found complying with the requirements of operational haccp system. The scope of the certification is manufacture of candies, toffees and bubble gum. The certificate was awarded in july,2003. Iso9001:2000 certification Asian food industries member of mayfair group of companies in recognition of its quality system complying with iso9001:2000, as assessed by united registrar of systems ltd was awarded this certificate in october,2003. The iso9001:2000 certification is an upgrade of afi's iso9002 certificate awarded in 2001. |
