We are a supplier of lingerie and swimwear (including woven shorts) to UK based retailers and are currently looking to expand our supply base.
We would be very interested to know more about your business, so if you could please send further details (and photographs where relevant) that would be most helpful. The areas which are of interest include:-
• Do you own your factory and how long have you been in business?
• What is your current customer base and what percentage do they take of your business?
• Do you supply the UK market? If so, who and is this direct supply?
• Do you have the capacity to take-on more orders – if so, please advise of your busy/quiet periods?
• What fabrics do you use most often in production (the base and supplier name)?
• Do you work with nominated suppliers (ie buttons/zips/hangers etc)? If so, which suppliers?
• What is your monthly capacity?
• What is your minimum order per style?
• What type of machinery do you have in house?
• How many labourers/employers do you have?
• Can you give a typical lead-time from order receipt through to order despatch?
• Have you been audited by an external party like SGS or a customer?
• Are you familiar with testing requirements (British Safety standards)?
• Do you currently work with testing houses (eg SGS)?
• Do you have many English speaking employees at your factory?
• Where would be your nearest port be for shipping to the UK?
• Can you provide cost indications – if possible on several different garment styles?
