Hello,
We are manufacturer of professional acoustic measurement equipment. Currently we have new project related to Intrinsically Safe aplications (IEC 60079-11) for our acoustic dosimeter that will have to work in explosive atmosphere (zone 0).
We consider to use in our device(Intrinsically safe acoustic dosimeter) one of Li-Polymer Battery.
Normative documents require that battery should be positively tested per UL 1642 standard.
Are your batteries tested per this standard?, Can we see the results? or at least get the reference number of test?
The certification laboratory that will test our device need to see the details of protection circuit and board, and ingredients of encapsulant too.
They need to know if any PTC are used too. It is because it will have to work in explosive atmosphere. In other words the documentation of PCM module is required, cause apart from UL1642 there are ather limitations per IEC60079-0 and IEC60079-11.
Is your PCM module encapsulated with some epoxy, and is there access for us to encapsulate it?
Which of your batteries would you recommend?
It should be circa about 50/30/5mm (~1000mAh) or smaller.
(charge 0, +40C) (discharge/storage -20C +40C)
And because we are professional equipment manufacturer, so quantities are limited.
We are forced to use very popular models similar do described above.
Could you help us please.
Best Regards,
Grzegorz Kuzmiszyn
