I recently started a men’s apparel company named STEVEN WELLS based out of Houston, Texas. I was recently in the bottoms business (selling men's trousers and shorts), and brought our company to a $10 million operation. We are starting out relatively smaller in quantity in the shirting side of our business, but it will become very large soon. We are planning on starting out with 8 patterns, and approximately 40-50 shirts per pattern (100-125 yds per pattern).
We are marketing our shirts to a younger demographic - specifically college students and young professionals; our goal is to create the perfect shirt with extremely high quality fabric and tailoring. We believe that every part of the shirt must be perfect, especially the fabric. Our company has created the patterns, digitalized the logo, met with many business professionals, and secured the final investors. We are now ready to buy fabrics (80s-100s 2-ply 100% cotton) and get our shirts manufactured.
