Dear Mr. Daryl Barnum:
First of all, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We would like to explore the possibility of going on joint venture with you on a coal-fired power plant project in the Philippines. Our group has a combined aggregate experience of 100 years in the power generation and distribution industry and we have recently prepared a Business Prospectus for a 600mW Power Plant. The plant site of 110 acres is already available. We can find the off takers for the electricity. The project is very viable based on the turnkey price provided by a Chinese Contractor with a good turnkey track record.
The tariff generation selling price per kWh in this Business Prospectus is 22% lower than the prevailing generation cost per kWh in the Grid where the 600mW plant is to be connected. Furthermore, we are using a CFB boiler which has a high efficiency for coal with heating value range of + 1000kCal on design HV. This power plant can use lower priced coal compared to PC fired Power Plants that are presently connected to the Grid. We can send the Business Prospectus to you for your review should you wish to explore this project with us.
Appreciating your favorable feedback in this regard.
Best Regards,
Abraham de Vera
