Here are 2 options for dealing with Aramco suppliers :
Option 1:
Buyer issues ICPO +IMFPA with signed banking info (BCL) and Aramco will issue FCO, on letterhead .
within 48 hours; Aramco will NOT contact buyer until buyer receives, signs, and sends back the FCO to Aramco.
Then, Aramco will talk directly to ONLY the buyer and buyer’s bank to verify authenticity of documentation.
Please note: Buyer should have a BG or other documentation ready to demonstrate capacity to finance purchase
of oil products, as Aramco may contact buyer at any time post submission of ICPO + BCL to confirm financing is in
place and commence closing procedures on the transaction (exactly when they will contact buyer is not known, but
it will be very soon after the docs have been sent back to Aramco – within 24 to 72 hours). Prices are referenced to
prevailing Dubai Platts.
Option 2:
This is a quick “in-and-out” method – buyer talks directly with the Prince in charge of product allocation
– The Prince will be in touch with buyer ONLY directly within 24 hours of submission of the following documents by
the buyer: ICPO + IMFPA , signed BCL, “proof of financing” (BG, PoF, SBLC, MT760, MT799, MT103/23). The Prince will
ONLY CALL ONE TIME, so the buyer need be ready for the call to take place at ANY time. The deal will be completed
within 48 hours of initiation.
Discounts: Buyer is requested to use “fixed dollar amounts” rather than “percentages” in their query – please
note that the larger the monthly order request, the better the discount rate will be. Also, please ensure the
discount request is reasonable so that it is treated seriously by Aramco.
e.g.) If Buyer is looking for approx. 10% off Platts and the prevailing price is $400USD / MT of D2, then please
submit request for pricing at $360USD / MT (-$40USD = 10% discount from $400).
Buyer submits LOI + IMFPA with banking info – this will trigger a “blind” FCO with prices and procedures – NON binding.
After if Buyer agrees to the price and procedures then Buyer issues ICPO with signed banking info (BCL)
Placing your Product Request:
If Buyer desires to buy Aramco oil products, please submit brief product
request, as well as delivery and contract details HANSA Export & Trading Co., LOI / ICPO + IMFPA on buyer letterhead – HANSA Export & trading Co. will be given UNOFFICIAL
pricing, which buyer will then be requested to put into an ICPO and submit as per “Option 1” (Aramco).
