Foundation „Hromadska Dumka” (Chernihiv, Ukraine) expresses you its respect and ask you to consider the possibility of cooperation and working together with us.
Main objective of our Foundation to help Chernihiv to revive its identity, originality and individuality. We want to unite all sympathetic and concerned people with our idea of the rebirth of Chernihiv.
Chernihiv has 1300-year-old history and is well-known for the historical monuments of an epoch of Ancient Russia. During its existence the town had ups and downs periods, a historical way from capital of one of the largest princedoms of the early Middle Ages in its prosperity, to ordinary provincial small town.
Unfortunately, presently, the town was destined to survive the tragedy of the century - Chernobyl, because nuclear power plant is located at a distance of 70 km. But the unique aura of the ancient holy places, allowing to plunge into atmosphere of spirituality and harmony and to feel its belonging to the eternal values, makes our town unique in own way.
Today all spheres of life actifity of Chernihiv are in great need of positive changes, support and help. This is public health services and education with their poor material base, culture and sport, town improvement and protection of the environment, and also revival and preservation of the historic character of the town.
The Foundation field of activity covers a wide range of the problems which decision will make Chernihiv more beautiful, comfortable and attractive to townspeople and visitors. At the same time the embodiment of Foundation projects will enable the chance to inhabitants of Chernihiv to unite, to realize their ideas and abilities, to vivify the town, to take personal part in prospect creation to the native town.
Foundation „Hromadska Dumka” is non-governmental organisation; it is not local authority’s structure. The foundation is created at the initiative of private persons who aspire to unite the different people, capable of providing assistance to those who need it. Main principles of Foundation activity are the openness, a transparency, expediency, efficiency.
We sincerely ask you to respond to our offer and to render us possible financial or other help. We are ready to discuss concrete and widest variants of cooperation.
